Have You Seen God?
Today, my seven-year old son, Matthew, asked me if I had ever seen God. I told him that I had. He asked me when. I replied, “Every time I look at you.”
1 Corinthians 3: 16 (NKJV) tells us, “ Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
His question made me think of other times I have seen God.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 states, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.
1 John 4:8 says, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
These are a few of the times I have seen God based on these scriptures.

I have seen God in the forgiveness of a friend.
I have seen God in the actions of children standing up against bullies.
I have seen God in the strong arms of my husband.
I have seen God in the trusting eyes of my children.
I have seen God in the face of cancer.
I have seen God in the tired soul that is finishing their race no matter what.
I have seen LOVE keep God’s Son on the cross that hate nailed Him to.
